LBs McKinzy, Frost to get more time

Linebackers Cassanova McKinzy and Kris Frost are expected to play more this week at the middle and ‘Will’ linebacker spots respectively.

“He hasn’t been named as a starter yet but he’s been taking a lot of reps and sharing time with Jake (Holland),” linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen said of McKinzy. “That kid has earned a chance to play for us at Auburn.

Jake Holland has started at middle linebacker every game this season.

Thigpen said Frost will rotate in more to spell Daren bates at the starting ‘Will’ spot. Bates leads the SEC and is sixth nationally in tackles with 11.7 per game.
