Pair of Auburn commits named 247Sports All-Americans

AUBURN — Two Auburn commits were recognized by a national recruiting service on Tuesday. Punter Jimmy Hutchinson and defensive end Carl Lawson were named to the 247Sports 2013 All-American team.

Hutchinson is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals, 247Sports and Scout and the top-ranked punter in the nation by 247Sports and Scout. The Kennesaw, Georgia native was also a Semper Fidelis All-America.

Lawson is rated a five-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports and a four-star by Scout and is the No. 1 ranked weakside defensive end in the nation by 247Sports. An Under Armour All-American, Lawson was named Georgia Class AAAAAA All-State first team by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

 

Auburn target Montravius Adams, a five-star defensive tackle out of Vienna, Georgia was also named to the team.

Former Auburn commits Dee Liner, a defensive lineman, and linebacker Reuben Foster were named to the second team. Foster is still considering Auburn while Liner has said he has moved on.
