Reports: Reuben Foster leaves Auburn visit early, in Tuscaloosa

AUBURN — Five-star linebacker and the consensus top prospect in the state Reuben Foster left his official visit at Auburn early and was in Tuscaloosa Saturday night, according to multiple recruiting website reports.

Rumors circulated rampantly Saturday evening about why Foster, an Under Armour All-American who played at Auburn high school this year, left his official visit on the Plains. He is believed to be considering Auburn, Alabama and Georgia for his college career.

Foster, whose Auburn tattoo on his forearm has drawn national headlines, decommitted after Gene Chizik was fired but is considering Auburn, Alabama and Georgia.

“I opened up my commitment because I want to go to the school but I didn’t know the coaches,” Foster said in a video interview on ESPN.com. “All of (the coaches) are brand new. I’m still considering them; I had to give them a chance to get to know them and open my recruitment up.”

Foster is set to announce his decision live on FOX Sports South’s The NEW College Football Show: Next Class 2013 on Monday at 9 p.m. CST.
