Another Jackson’s No. 34 to be retired, women’s basketball great to be honored

AUBURN — Another Jackson who wore No. 34 on the Plains will have their jersey retired.

Former Auburn women’s basketball player Becky Jackson will see her name added to the Ring of Honor in Auburn Arena on Feb. 17 as her No. 34 jersey is retired prior to the Tigers’ game with Alabama.

Jackson’s career totals are still among the best all-time at Auburn as she ranks second in career scoring, ninth in career blocks and still holds the Auburn career rebounding record. Her jersey will join the ranks of Carolyn Jones (No. 21), Ruthie Bolton (No. 25) and Vicki Orr (No. 50) in the north end zone of Auburn Arena.
