Auburn football ticket prices to remain the same

AUBURN — Even with eight home games compared to last season’s seven, Auburn football ticket prices will remain the same in 2013 as they were in 2012, the university announced Friday.

Ticket prices for the general public will remain at $450, faculty/staff at $225 and student tickets will be available for $140 and the donor giving levels for Tigers Unlimited Football Ticket Priority will also remain the same as last season, according to a university release.

“We deeply appreciate the commitment that our loyal season ticket holders make to support our football program,” Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said. “Even though we have eight home games on our schedule compared to seven last year, we felt it was important to reward the loyalty of our fans by holding ticket prices at the 2012 level.”

Season ticket renewals are currently underway and the deadline for renewals is March 1 for fans who take part in the Tigers Unlimited Football Ticket Priority program, according to the release.

Unlike 2012 when the Tigers played a neutral site game, the Chik-Fil-A Kickoff against Clemson in Atlanta, Auburn will host all four of its non-conference games. Also, Jordan-Hare Stadium will host both rivals Georgia and Alabama for the first time in the same season.

“This is the first time in our history that we will host Alabama and Georgia at Jordan-Hare Stadium in the same season, so it is a great opportunity for Tigers Unlimited members and all Auburn football fans to get even more value from their season ticket investment,” Jacobs said. “It will be exciting to see the start of the Gus Malzahn era at Auburn this fall.”
