Asauhn Dixon-Tatum is making his first career start in place of senior Rob Chubb in this afternoon’s game at Ole Miss. Dixon-Tatum, a junior JUCO transfer, is averaging 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds.

Chubb, a senior, had started all 26 games for this season and all 31 last season. He has not come off bench since March 10, 2011 vs Georgia in the SEC Tournament.

Chubb, who had nine points on 3-of-8 shooting with three free throws in Wednesday’s loss to Texas A&M, is averaging 8.8 points and 6.9 rebounds. He sat the entire second half against Florida last Saturday.

“I think Rob’s still fighting he’s just not very good right now,” Auburn coach Tony Barbee said last Saturday. “What else can I say he’s just not very good, not getting it done.”
